History
New Genesis Worship Center held its installation service on August 4th, 2006 at Western Branch Community Center. After two years of meeting at the Rec center, we transitioned to the Hampton Inn located adjacent to the Rec center on Portsmouth Blvd in Chesapeake, VA. There we were able to grow, developed a choir, and even had our first musician.
In 2009, we relocated to Greater Praise Community Church on Military Hwy in the Deep Creek section of Chesapeake. Rev. Harris & his congregation allowed us to worship for two years before finding our own building.
In August 2011, we began worshipping in the Greenbrier section of Chesapeake. Driving further than we had, we entered a season where God showed us who He was.
After 3 year years in Greenbrier, we felt we had an answered prayer. Pastor Calvin and First Lady stumbled across a building on Tyre Neck Rd.
In August 2014, after painting, changing carpet, and other renovations, we had found a new home. Since then, we have the had the ability to grow into our own.
In each season God showed Himself faithful. As we enter this our 11th year, we ask that you continue to pray with us and for us as God continues to keep us.
